First Impressions
Aug. 22nd, 2035 03:31 pm f i r s t impressions ✖ APPEARANCE ˳ Upon first seeing her, one may think that Velvet has been through the blender. Her normal (default) outfit looks to be pieces of fabric hanging on by a thread in some places, yet it somehow covers everything it needs to. Velvet has long black hair that comes down to her ankles, usually tied low at the bottom with bandages in a very loose braid. She has shorter strands tied in a braid over her left shoulder, also tied with bandages. Her eyes are a golden color, her skin pale, and doesn't wear makeup. She is 170cm (5'5") in height and appears to be either late teens or early twenties (she is 19). She is packed to the nines with weapons, and all of them are hidden. The first is the blade tucked into the gauntlet on her right arm, this is her main weapon (it changes appearance depending on what she's equipped with). The second is a hidden dagger in her right boot. As for the last weapon, this is her left arm - it is the one part of her that marks her as a daemon. Underneath the wrappings (and long gloves), her skin is mottled black and red, but otherwise has a normal shape until transformed. When it is transformed, it becomes massive - revealing the coloration underneath. It looks like a large clawed hand, and when in use, it will give off red and/or black whisps of color. ✖ FASHION ˳ ✖ DEMEANOR ˳ Angry, violent, perpetually ready to punch someone in the face. Velvet looks like she doesn't want to be bothered, especially not by those she might find annoying (spoiler, it's everyone). ✖ SCENT ˳ Clean soap, ocean spray, undertones of blood ✖ VOICE ˳ ✖ MENTAL INFORMATION ˳ Velvet has witnessed some terrible things that have mentally scarred her, but more than that, she has physically absorbed people that sometimes "talk" to her in her sleep. Digging deeply into her psyche may reveal that those individual still exist - if even just a tiny shred of them only remains. She constantly has nightmares of the tragic events of her life, and has conversations with the people she has absorbed in her mind. ✖ EMOTIONAL INFORMATION ˳ Her emotions are deeply unstable, and she constantly lives in the negative ones. She has been so completely consumed by these emotions that they have fully transformed her into a creature known as a daemon (or hellion to some). She is fully steeped in this Malevolence, and Velvet has the capability of absorbing other negative emotions (this usually kills the individual) - so she isn't merely filled with her own. It's said that Malevolence comes from eight types of negative emotions: lust, greed, selfishness, obsession, cowardice, conceit, hatred, and despair - of which, Velvet has all in some way. There is some good still left in her, but it's often buried beneath the weight of the negative ones. Sometimes, Malevolence may seep out of her in a visual way, marked by black/purple smoke rising from her body. ✖ MAGICAL INFORMATION ˳ As in all Tales of games, Velvet has access to abilities known as artes. She can manipulate elemental power and add it to her physical attacks. She has no healing abilities that are useful to other people, only herself. A list of her artes can be found here |
